Hey! I’m Josh.
I’m a freelance writer, a husband, a brother, a flight attendant and now a blogger.
I got my bachelor’s in English from the University of Texas at Arlington. Unsure of what direction to take my life, I knew only one thing: I love writing.
I now offer copywriting services to the public.
My writing has been featured in quite a few places online, but that portfolio is always growing.
Background About Me
I’m a born and raised Texan for sure.
So, it was with a little (well really a lot) hesitation that I decided to move from my hometown to Statesboro, GA with my then fiance for her to pursue her graduate studies.
I dabbled a bit in freelancing while looking for a stable job to help pay bills. With the encouragement of family and friends, I became a flight attendant.
I love flying, but I missed writing.
After experimenting in writing for a few websites, I decided to start taking my craft seriously and truly learn to write.
The digital age is amazing in all that it has allowed humanity to do, but it also showed me my degree taught me to write academically, not conversationally and authoritatively as the Internet requires.
This leads to interesting content, but not ideal.
I did some research and found out that Google offers a digital marketing certificate (and it’s totally free). So I got mine.
I used this knowledge, and some advice from Reddit, to learn more about marketing, writing, and editing.
Combine this new knowledge with talking to new people every day I work AND a lot of free time in hotels without distraction, and I have become adept at writing.
I constantly am searching for the latest information about marketing, writing and human psychology to learn how to best deliver information.
Now, I offer the most up to date info, while utilizing human nature to make it as appealing as possible.
This blog is not only a way for me to showcase my writing for potential clients, but it is a way for me to share my journey to become a copywriter. It’s a hard job, but I want to be the best copywriter ever.
So my about me, is really, about helping you.
